IX. To Become World Christians

(A) We understand to "be a world Christian" to mean the following:

  1. (1) By seeing the world as God sees it

  3. (2) By understanding what our purpose is in the world
  4. (Psalm 37:4; Matthew 28:19,20; 1 Timothy 2:3-4; cf. 2 Peter 3:9; Ephesians 5:17-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; 5:18; 1 Peter 2;13-15; 3:17 )

  5. (3) By studying the cultures, customs and needs of the world, so that we can understand and relate to all people
  6. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

  7. (4) By speaking another language which will prepare us to communicate the gospel with them
  8. (Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:5-12,16,21; Revelation 7:9-10;14:6)

  9. (5) By seeking for the world what God seeks for them
  10. (Matthew 6:33; Luke 19:10; John 4:23,24; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

  11. (6) By supporting in prayer the needs of the world and those who labor in it
  12. (Matthew 9:36-38; Ephesians 6:18-20; Colossians 4:2-6)

  13. (7) By supplying the needs of those who involve themselves in reaching the world for Jesus Christ
  14. (Romans 10:14,15; 1 Corinthians 9:14; Philippians 4:11-19)

  15. (8) By sharing whom we are and what we have with the peoples of the world
  16. (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; James 2:15-17; 1 John 3:16-18)

  17. (9) By realizing we are not to love the world but, to live separate from it
  18. (Romans 8:5-8; 12:1-2; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

X. To Inform New Converts about Water Baptism, Church Membership and Involvement for those who Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

XI. To Minister to All the Needs of Mankind (Spirit, Mind, and Body)
